Energy plus Transmutation" setup consists of a thick, lead target surrounded with a uranium blanket and placed in a polyethylene box. Relativistic protons are di- rected to the target. Produced neutron ux is studied at dierent places of the setup using the activation detectors. In this paper, the possible sources of systematic un- certainties of obtained experimental data are analyzed using MCNPX simulations. Further, the inuence of dierent setup parts and uncertainties in their geomet- rical and physical denitions on the neutron ux is investigated. The possibility to use the experimental data for comparing them with the results of the MCNPX simulation code is discussed.
