Abstract. This work introduces a superimposition,routing algorithm for wire- less sensor networks. The substrate algorithm is called STORM (Self-organizing TOpology discoveRy and Maintenance) and is responsible for the discovery and maintenance of the topology used by the superimposition algorithm, cal- led Adaptive Diffusion, that routes sensory data towards the sink node. We analyze the performance,and behavior of our solution comparing,it with a rou- ting scheme based on a tree built using theearliest-first parent selection scheme, the Flooding and the Directed Diffusion algorithms.
