Invariant line theory and the crystallography of L12-(Al,Ag)3Ti phase in Ag-modified L10-TiAl based intermetallic

The method of crystallographic calculation of L12-(Al,Ag)3Ti phase in a L10-TiAl(Ag) intermetallic compound with a nominal composition of Ti–54at.%Al–4at.%Ag has been introduced based on the three-dimensional invariant line strain model. The results showed that the calculated crystallographic characteristics of the platelet precipitates L12-(Al,Ag)3Ti coincides well with the experimental results. This indicated that the invariant line theory is effective in the face-centered cubic/face-centered tetragonal system.
