An Architecture Supporting End-to-End QoS with User Mobility for Systems Beyond 3rd Generation

Future telecommunication networks, and in particular networks beyond 3rd Generation, will be based on an "all-IP" architecture. Issues such as Quality of Service (QoS), Mobility and Authentication, Authorisation, Accounting and Charging (AAAC), and their respective interoperation, must be handled in such scenarios. This paper describes a generic end-to-end QoS architecture and its relationship with the other networking components. This architecture is being developed inside the IST project Moby Dick.
