摘要
We have developed a system for visualization of heterogeneous geospatial information in a synchronous manner. Geospatial reg- istration between different data sets is achieved mostly through coordinate and Euclidean transformations for consistent visual- ization. GPS (Global Positioning System) interface is provided to the visualization program to enable location awareness for the mobile agents. Querying of geospatial databases is supported to obtain intelligent information using visual and speech interfaces. A mobile network is setup for communication among different mobile agents and central units. The work is under way to ana- lyze and visualize geospatial uncertainty arising from heteroge- neous data sources. 1 Introduction and Overview Geospatial data arises from many different sources in many dif- ferent resolutions, formats, sizes, and with different time stamps. Registering these data sets with each other by bringing them into a common format is a tedious task. In this work, we first dis- cuss acquisition and coordinate transformation of several hetero- geneous GIS data including height, texture, LIDAR data, and ar- chitectural drawings. After these coordinate and Euclidean trans- formations, geospatial uncertainty is reduced but not eliminated. We have created a synchronous visualization of these geospatially registered information. We then discuss the Global Positioning System (GPS) setup and visualization of location of these mo- bile objects within the GIS views. We then describe querying, extraction, and visualization of geospatial intelligence associated with the environment using both visual and speech modes. We also describe a wireless setup for establishing peer-to-peer and peer-to-central communication.
