The electron affinity of ICl from charge-transfer collisions with Ba

摘要
The charge-transfer cross section in collisions of Ba and ICl was measured in the vicinity of the energetic threshold and compared to an analytical expression. The experimentally determined adiabatic electron affinity of the interhalogen ICl is larger than corresponding values of the homonuclear molecules I 2 and Cl 2 .
