A new concept of tethered ligand-modified Rh/SiO2 catalyst for hydroformylation with high stability

A tethered ligand-modified Rh/SiO2 catalyst was developed for hydroformylation with high stability. Over the catalyst, both ligand and Rh were fastened directly on the support, while at the same time the active species were formed in situ by coordinating the flexible ligands to the highly dispersed Rh species on the surface of SiO2.
