摘要
The idea that equity has to do with allocating, say, income between different actors proportionately to their inputs, deserves or needs goes back at least to Aristotle, and has been the object of a number of modern reformulations, examinations and refinements. This paper presents some generalizations of those results, in particular Adams (1965), Jasso (1978) and Wijk (1993). Following the bulk of the literature, we mostly confine ourselves to the case of allocating a prescribed total income between two actors. We also draw the attention to some pitfalls as regards the extension to the general case of n actors.
