Tris[3,3'-(P-Phenylenedimethylene)-Diimidazol-1-Ium] Bis(Phosphatododeca-Molybdate)

In the title compound, (C14H16N4)(3)[PMo12O40](2), the asymmetric unit contains one [PMo12O40](3-) anion and one and a half 3,3'-(p-phenylenedimethylene)diimidazol-1-ium cations. Each cation links two [PMo12O40](3-) anions, which link three cations through N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, generating an infinite supramolecular chain-like structure.
