Rapid estimation of VMA (“Vanillylmandelic Acid”; 3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-mandelic acid) in diagnosis of chromaffin cell tumours

Summary  A rapid method for estimation of urinary VMA which can be carried out in a single colorimeter tube is described and its application is discussed. This test has proved useful in detecting two cases of phaeochro-mocytoma and one of neuroblastoma.
