Optimization on the Gas-Solid Two-phase Flow in the Feedstock Injection-mixing Zone of FCC Riser and Industrial Application

Based on the experimental results,two disadvantages of traditional structure of FCC riser feedstock injection-mixing zone,namely the intense particle backmixing and the unanticipated distributions of the oil-catalyst concentration,are revealed.The principle of improving the flow and mixing pattern in the feedstock injection-mixing zone is put forward,i.e.,utilizing the favorite aspect of the jet secondary flow while diminishing its disadvantageous influence.A new type of FCC CS-atomizing-nozzle is proponed.The advantages brought about by CS-nozzle are seen clearly in several industrial FCC units.
