VARIACIÓN DE CONOS DE Pinus oaxacana Mirov EN UNA POBLACIÓN DE LOS MOLINOS, MUNICIPIO DE PEROTE, VERACRUZ

In order to compare the wide and length of cones between trees and harvests of Pinus oaxacana Mirov in the site Los Molinos municipality of Perote, Veracruz, selected 10 trees and collected their seed during four harvests; it collects 1999 presented the cones of greater size (long of 12.55 and wide of 6.12 cm), whereas, it collects 1998 showed the lowest averages to it (8.07 and 5.15 cm respectively); trees 2 and 6 produced the longest cones (10.96 and 11.16 cm) whereas the trees the 3 and 4 shortest ones (8.91 and 10.06 cm); for the wide one of cones, trees 1 and 10 were the best one developed (6.05 and 6.16 cm) and the 5 and 3 minors (5.31 and 5.58 cm). These results show that the characteristics of the cones of Pinus oaxacana Mirov can vary so much between harvests as between trees of a same forest site, in addition, each tree can respond of way differential to the variations in the annual climatic conditions.
