Comparative study of Amsler grid and tangent screen Dr. Fletcher for central scotoma localization

Conclusions The tangent screen was more effective for central scotoma localization (65.2%). The conjugation of tangent screen and complete Amsler grid test allows the identification of a greater number of central scotoma (71.7%). Stage 3 of the Amsler grid (white plate/black grating and polarized filter) presented the worst results (26.1%). The use of the complete Amsler grid testing favors a greater identification of the central scotoma.
