ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis of (S)- and (R)-Enantiomers of p-(4-Hydroxybenzoyl)phenylalanine, Useful Photoaffinity Labeling Probes for Peptide-Protein Binding Sites.

A high yield, multigram synthesis of both enantiomers of p-(4-hydroxybenzoyl)phenylalanine, cross-linking probes for peptide–protein binding interactions, is reported. The synthesis was accomplished using Schöllkopf chiral auxiliary reagents.
