Summary  The recent boundl 0≤3.10−18 cm on a hypothetical fundamental lengthl 0 imposes this limit to the characteristic length of the classical model of the vacuum as consisting of bundles of ideal flexible strings developed by Ribarič and Šušteršič. By this bound the above theory no longer predicts the correct order of magnitude for the masses of the intermediate vector bosons.
