The study randomly assigned patients to either fondaparinux or enoxaparin. It would appear that each arm in the study consisted of 372 patients. The enoxaparin arm was comprised 43% men and 57% women, whereas the fondaparinux arm comprised 39% men and 61% women. The average age in both groups was 67.5 years.
