Linear Subspaces Of The Design Space

Each of our analysis criteria leads to a function of position inside the space of all schemes, and those schemes which satisfy some requirement lie inside a subspace. To achieve some combination of requirements means choosing a point of the design space lying in the intersection of the subspaces. If the desired subspaces do not intersect, then the requirements are incompatible.
