Preliminary assessment of carotid arterial elasticity in patients with hypertension combined with type 2 diabetes by velocity vector imaging technique
Journal of Clinical Ultrasound in Medicine(2012)
摘要
Objective To study the motion features of carotid artery in patients with hypertension combined with type 2 diabetes(DM 2) by velocity vector imaging(VVI) technique. Methods Twenty-two patients with hypertension(hypertension group),26 patients with hypertension combined with DM 2(DM 2 combined with hypertension group),and 25 healthy subjects as control group were enrolled in this study.Their nagative maximum strain(S-max),positive maximum strain(S+max),nagative maximum strain rate(SR-max) and positive maximum strain rate(SR+max) of common carotid artery were measured by VVI.Results The S-max and S+max in DM 2 combined with hypertension group were lower than those in control group(P0.05),there was no significant difference of S-max and S+maxbetween hypertension group and control group(P0.05).There was no significant difference of S-max and S+max among three groups(P0.05).The SR-max in the DM 2 combined with hypertension group and hypertension group was lower than those in control group(P0.05).The SR+max in the DM 2 combined with hypertension group was utmostly lower than those in control group(P0.01).The SR-max in hypertension group were lower than that in control group(P0.05).There was no significant difference of SR-max and SR+max among three groups(P0.05).Conclusion VVI technique can evaluate the changes of common carotid arterial wall in patients with hypertension combined with DM 2,it can provide reliable information for clinical early diagnosis.
