Study on single-seed sowing density of peanut under different planting patterns

Effects of different single-seed sowing densities on the agronomic traits and yields of peanut under two planting patterns including spring sowing and intercropping with wheat were investigated.The results showed that effects of sowing density on agronomic traits of spring peanut(Huayu20) and intercropped peanut(Huayu22) were similar and with the increasing of sowing density,main stem height and lateral branch length were increased.On the contrary,number of branches,pods per plant,ratio of double seed pod and ratio of mature seed pod were all decreased.The appropriate sowing density of smaller seed type(Huayu20) was higher than that of bigger seed type(Huayu22),which were 255000 and 210000 seeds per hectare,with yield increase of 2.2% and 4.1%,and reduction in sowed-seed rate of 15% and 30%,respectively.
