Results: In this survey, 63 patients belonged to the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA II, mild persistent), 30 patients to the GINA III (moderate) and 7 patients to the GINA IV (severe) classification. Between these three groups, the results of the four dimensions evaluated in the questionnaire (emotions, symptoms, environment and limitation of activities) showed significant differences in QoL (P<0.05). Conclusion: these results suggest that severity of asthma is closely related to QoL in asthmatic children and more severe asthma has less average score of QoL. Estimation of the QoL represents a new aspect in determination of asthma classification.
