Depresión inducida por estrés emocional o ¿estado de 'agotamiento nervioso'?

A review and comment are done on the results of a previous study, in which we demonstrated an association between emotional stress and depression, and the possible modulating role of factors such as age and sex of the affected persons. The mentioned results make us think, in addition, on the great similitude that exists between depression and what was classically defined as a state of 'nervous breakdown'. And, as we suggest in the present communication, that could help to manage better the problems of many of our patients.
