摘要
Halban (1900) reported the first case of calculi occurring in a vaginal cystocoele. Twenty-three cases of colpolithiasis have been reported since (Alattar, 1966) and the literature on the subject has been reviewed by Stanfield (1942) and LeCocq (1960). The rarity of a primary vaginal stone prompts us to report the following unusual case, thus bringing the total of reported cases to 24. E. H., B.C.H. NO. 2090998, a 72-year-old female, suffering from multiple sclerosis of 20 years' duration, was known to be bedridden for the past 14 years. She was admitted to the Boston City Hospital with abdominal pain, urinary incontinence and fever. Positive findings, on physical examination, included contractures of the lower extremities and a stony hard mass in the vagina.
