EIS success: keys and difficulties in major companies

For scholars and practitioners concerned with computer-based Information Systems, one central issue is whether Information Systems contribute to organization. This paper intends to portray the current keys of Executive Information Systems success in Spain. For this purpose, the author surveyed the leading Spanish companies in every sector. Findings show how crucial the human factor is in Executive Information Systems. Comparisons of EISs developed in several countries provide insights that can be used to develop systems by companies in global markets.
