T and B lymphocyte quantitation in children

Summary  T and B-lymphocyte subpopulations in children were quantified using E-rosetting and immunofluorescence techniques respectively. Methanol fixation was used for B-lymphocyte preparations while E-rosettes were examined using conventional techniques. The preparations were stable for days and counts showed a high degree of reproducibility. The information provided in this study may be useful in the assessment of immune deficiency in infancy and childhood.
