Revealed Processes in Knowledge Management
Wissensmanagement (LNCS Volume)(2005)
摘要
The essence of process is repeatability. Organizations, especially for-profit companies, have worked to refine their operations
by using well-defined processes that they can manage. In the modern era, many organizations have focused on redesigning their
processes by following Hammer’s discussion of business process reengineering (BPR). While BPR is not dependent on information
technology (IT), reengineering efforts often have complementary IT efforts. In particular, the focus on process has led to
the rise of workflow management systems. The importance of process in daily life has also made it a central field within artificial
intelligence (AI), where researchers in planning work to automate the construction of processes the achieve user goals [1-3].
The combination of planning, workflow systems and information retrieval has led to work in the burgeoning field of intelligent
processoriented systems for information access. By incorporating a process representation, a process-oriented system can guide
users through complex task sequences, while offering relevant information at each step.
