个人简介
Zoran Konkoli received the bachelor’s degree in physics from Zagreb University in 1991 and the Ph.D. degree in theoretical chemistry from Gothenburg University in 1996. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, from 1996 to 2002, he has studied diffusion-controlled reactions with H. Johannesson at the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, then he moved to the Nordic Institute of Theoretical Physics (NORDITA, now moved from Copenhagen to Stockholm) where he studied protein folding with J. Hertz. There he learned a great deal of spin-glass physics. In that period he continued investigating diffusion-controlled reactions. In his last postdoctoral position, he was with P. Appel at the Applied Physics Department, Chalmers University of Technology, where he looked into polymer-translocation problem, a remarkably challenging multiscale modeling problem. There he stayed as an Assistant Professor of biological physics from 2002 to 2006. Since 2007, he has been holding a permanent position as an Associate Professor at the Department of Microtechnology and Nanoscience-MC2, Chalmers University of Technology. His research interests lie at the interface between condensed-matter theory, statistical physics, theoretical cell biology, neuromorphic computing, reservoir computing, computing with memristor networks, advanced sensing systems, and formal models of unconventional computation.
