Zhirong Yang received the bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou, China, in 1999 and 2002, and the doctoral degree from the Helsinki University of Technology, Espoo, Finland, in 2008, respectively. Currently, he is a professor with the Norwegian Open AI Lab and Department of Computer Science, Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He also works as Finnish Academy research fellow with Aalto University, Finland. His current research interests include information visualization, cluster analysis, and learning representations for structured data.
