While working in industry, he oversaw the design and implementation of large-scale deep learning systems which supported a variety of commercial products in cloud computing, computer vision and logistics. His current research interests include neural networks and deep learning, optimization, and control. Two of his publications on memristive neural networks were listed as highly cited papers.
