Zheng Xu(徐铮)

My research focused on structural biology and biological catalysis. I used X-ray diffraction or synchrotron radiation to determined the crystal structure of enzymes. I prefer those called "industrial enzymes", which have significant potentials in value-added chemical production. By means of rational design, it is efficient to improve properties of these enzymes, on the basis of "real" structural information. I am also interested in synthetic biology for natural products.
