Yunjian Xu

Yunjian Xu (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2006 and 2008, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA, USA, in 2012. He was a Center for the Mathematics of Information (CMI) Post-Doctoral Fellow with the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA, USA, from 2012 to 2013. Before joining The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) as an Assistant Professor, he was an Assistant Professor with the Singapore University of Technology and Design from 2013 to 2017. His current research interests include stochastic optimal control, reinforcement learning, power system optimization, and electricity market design. He was a recipient of the MIT-Shell Energy Fellowship.
