Yuanyuan Ren(任圆圆)

Yuanyuan (Kate) Ren is currently a Scholar-in-Residence in the Government Department at Hamilton College (2022-23). Prior to joining Hamilton College, She was a postdoctoral Global Fellow at New York University School of Law, affiliated with U.S.-Asia Law Institute (2020-22). She received a Doctor of Juridical Sciences (S.J.D.) from the University of Wisconsin Law School in May 2021 and a Ph.D. in International Law from Fudan University Law School in July 2012. She was a Fox International Fellow at the MacMillan Center for Area and International Studies at Yale University from 2010 to 2011 and worked as an assistant research professor at Polar Research Institute of China (PRIC) in Shanghai from 2012 to 2013. Her research and teaching interests include international law, international trade law, law of the sea, polar law, Chinese law, and US-China relations.
