Yong Sook Goo received the M.D. and Ph.D. degrees in physiology from Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea, in 1988 and 1993, respectively. From 1996 to 1998, she completed post-doctoral training with the Department of Physiology, Tulane University Medical School, New Orleans, LA, USA. Since 1991, she has been with the Department of Physiology, Chungbuk National University, Cheongju, South Korea, where she is currently a Professor. She has directed many projects funded by the KOSEF, KRF, and Ministry of Health and Welfare on retinal network studies for retinal prostheses since 2001. Her major research interest is in retinal network analysis.
