Bio
Zhang's research aims to achieve the long-term goal of advancing Precision Rehabilitation. This will be accomplished through the comprehensive assessment of brain and muscle activation dynamics and brain-muscle interaction using a combination of multimodal neuroimaging, neuroengineering, and neuromodulation techniques. His work concentrates on high-impact research toward achieving quantitative and precise diagnosis, phenotyping, and personalized treatment for neurological, neurodegenerative, and neuromuscular conditions. These conditions encompass depression, Alzheimer's disease, stroke, spinal cord injury, pelvic floor dysfunctions, as well as the resultant movement disorders and pain conditions.
