Dr. Zhou is an Associate Professor with School of Computer Science, Fudan University. He obtained an MPhil degree and a PhD degree in computer science from The Chinese Unviersity of Hong Kong in 2006 and 2009 respectively, both under the supervision of Prof. Michael R. Lyu and Prof. Jiangchuan Liu (with Simon Fraser University). He received a B.Sc. degree in electronics from Peking University in 2000.

Before joining Fudan, he was a senior research staff member with Shenzhen Research Institute, The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2012 to 2014. He co-founded the Trustworthy and Intelligent Internet Computing Lab of the Institute with Prof. Michael R. Lyu and served as deputy director. He was with Department of Computer Science and Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2009 to 2012, where he is currently an honorary research associate, and co-supervising several Ph.D. students with Prof. Michael R. Lyu.

Dr. Zhou has over 10 years of experience of managing software product development. He was an engineer with Huawei Technologies, and later a senior software engineer with Ramaxel Ltd. and Yongda Electronics Ltd. He is also active in technology consulting. He serves in the Technical Committee of Embedded Systems and Pervasive Computing, Shanghai Computer Society, and CCF (China Computer Federation) Task Force on Big Data.
