Xun Wu

Dr. Xun Wu is an endothelial biologist and molecular biologist with extensive experiences studying the role of inflammation and oxidative stress in endothelial dysfunction. He has completed his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in January 2019 with an excellent track record and a number of publications (EBioMedicine, 2019; Redox Biology, 2019; Aging cell, 2018) and awards. Since September 2019, he started his postdoctoral research at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. His works focused on the molecular mechanisms of novel regulators of macrophage efferocytosis as discovered by the unbiased genome-wide CRISPR screen, and their roles in diseases related to impaired macrophage efferocytosis, including atherosclerosis and inflammation. He has also received scholarship support from the Russ Berrie Foundation and is named as “Berrie Scholar in Diabetes Research”. He also received AHA postdoctoral fellowship since 2021 (Percentile Rank: 0.72%). He won several awards including Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award, 2021 ATVB Outstanding Research Award, Keystone Symposia Scholarship, and Young Investigator Award.
