在荧光成像、光声成像、余辉成像以及化疗、光学疗法等领域均有研究。

迄今为止,以第一作者身份在Journal of the American Chemical Society, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Biomaterials等国际知名学术期刊上发表论文10篇。以参与作者身份发表学术论文24篇,总共发表学术论文34篇,文章总被引1300余次,H因子20。此外还以第一作者发表关于共轭聚合物的光声应用的专著一章。
