Xiao Wang

Xiao Wang (Member, IEEE) received the B.A. degrees in mathematics and computer science with honor from Saint John’s University, MN, in 2012, and M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Currently, he works as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital under the supervision of Professor Simon Warfield. Xiao Wang’s research interest focuses on applying medical physics, image processing and high performance computing to computed tomographic (CT) and positron emission tomography (PET) reconstruction, so that the reconstruction algorithm tightly integrates with the scanner detector sensor design and data acquisition physics, making it possible to observe phenomena at a super-resolution previously difficult or impossible to measure with traditional approaches.
