My research interests focuses on the investigation of cause-effect-relationships in micro-mechanical behaviour of cement-based materials and their durability performance of reinforcing concrete (RC) elements under loading and in-service environments, aiming to link the mechanical behaviour of the cement-based materials at the material level with their macroscopic properties in the RC elements subjected to loading and environmental attacks and get a sustainable design.
