Bio
Xiang Zhou (SM'05) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China, in 1999.
From 1999 to 2001, he was with Nangang Technological University, Singapore, as a Research Fellow, doing research on optical CDMA and wideband Raman amplification. Since October 2001 He has been with AT&T Labs-Research, Middletown, NJ, working on various aspects of long-haul optical transmission and photonic networking technologies, including Raman amplification, polarization-related impairments, optical power transient control, advanced modulation formats, and digital signal processing at bit rate 100Gb/s and beyond. He has authored/coauthored more than 100 peer-reviewed journals and conferences publication, and holds 30 U.S. patents.
Dr. Zhou currently serves as an Associate Editor of Optics Express. He is member of the Optical Society of America.
