Xi Chen

Xi Chen (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree from Beijing Technology and Business University, Beijing, China, in 2003, the M.Sc. degree from Kings College London, University of London, London, U.K., in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, SAR, China, in 2009. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He joined the State Grid Corporation of China in 2009, where he is currently the Research Director of the State Grid U.S. Representative Office, New York, NY, USA, and the Chief Information Officer with GEIRI North America, San Jose, CA, USA. His current research interests include the Internet of Things, smart grids, and electric vehicle charging networks. He is the Chair-Elect of the IEEE Power and Energy Circuits and Systems Technical Committee. He was an Editor of the China National Strategic Development Plan of the Internet of Things in Smart Grids from 2010 to 2015. He serves as an Editor for IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications and an Associate Editor for IEEE Systems Journal, IEEE Open Journal of the Industrial Electronics Society, and IET Blockchain. He is an IET Fellow.
