He is interested in exploring the behavior of photons and electrons on nanometer scale, and applying this knowledge to the development of new devices, such as high-sensitivity sensors and integrated chips for optical computing. Recent highlights include the first report on metamaterial thin film logic gates (conducted in the University's Optoelectronic Research Center), the integration of superlenses and microfluidic systems, the development of beam steering hypersurfaces for lidar, and the hypersurfaces based on phase change materials.
