Jin Wu

I received my Ph.D. degree in genetics in 2014 from Beijing institute of ge-nomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. After that, I worked in Xijing hospital as a research scientist in clinical settings. Then, I moved to the United States and joined in Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as a post-doctoral research fellow in 2018 to further strengthen my molecular biology and pharmacology background. I accumulated very strong wet laboratory skills in molecular cloning, cell culture, drug treatments and animal handling. My research goals include but not limited to investigating the critical functions of different oncogenes and oncoproteins in the development of different cancer types like cervical cancer, melanoma and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, such as: 1. To identify novel splicing isoforms of target genes (TBCK/NuMA/MDM4) and uncover their roles in tumor development.; 2. To develop a therapeutic strategy for tumor models that har-bor poor response to clinically approved drugs due to intrinsic resistance mech-anisms.
