个人简介
I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. I work in the PADAS group with Prof. George Biros.
I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science in the School of Computational Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech. My advisor was Prof. Alex Gray, now at Skytree, Inc.
My research focuses on the development of novel, scalable algorithms for challenging problems in machine learning and data analysis. I am currently developing ASKIT: Approximate Skeletonization Kernel-Independent Treecode — a generalization of the Fast Multipole Method to high-dimensional settings and general kernel functions, such as appear in kernel based learning algorithms.
My past work includes the development of fast, scalable algorithms for n-point correlation function estimation (with applications in astronomy and cosmology) and the development of efficient hierarchical clustering algorithms by computing Euclidean minimum spanning trees.
I am also interested in novel forms of data-dependent algorithmic runtime bounds, including bounds for nearest neighbor search and hierarchical clustering.
