Basic biomedical sciences: biochemistry and molecular biology, anatomy, histology and physiology, cell biology and transgenics.
Research Interests:
Cardiovascular Sciences; Molecular & Cell Biology.
Dr. X-J Wang's research programs are funded primarily by NIH R01 grants and aimed to better understand the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which primary heart diseases progress to heart failure, as well as the molecular pathogenesis of misfolded proteins, with an emphasis on protein quality control and protein degradation in cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology.
