Vito Puliafito received the degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in electromagnetic modeling from the University of Messina, Messina, Italy, in 2007 and 2011, respectively. Since June 2021, he has been an Associate Professor of electrical engineering with the Politecnico di Bari, Bari, Italy. He was a Visiting Ph.D. Student with the University of Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain, a Visiting Researcher with Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, and with FORTH Hellas, Crete, Greece. From 2019 to 2021, he was an Assistant Professor with the University of Messina. He has authored or coauthored more than 40 papers in international refereed journals. His research interests include modeling magnetic materials at the nanoscale, spintronic applications, micromagnetics, novel approaches for computing. He is a co-Founder and Vice-Director of Petaspin and a Founding Member of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council Technical Committee about Quantum, Neuromorphic, and Unconventional Computing. He was also with the technical and organization committees of several international conferences, such as a Guest Editor of Elsevier and as a reviewer of several IEEE, IOP, AIP, and Nature journals.
