Naanyu Violet

Violet Naanyu is a Kenyan social scientist and bioethicist. She is trained in medical sociology, medical anthropology and global bioethics. She is Associate Professor, Moi University School of Social Sciences, Kenya, and senior researcher at the Aga Khan University Centre of Excellence in Women, Adolescent and Child Health, Kenya. She is particularly interested in implementation science and evaluations designed to improve care seeking behavior, well-being, and health care delivery in Africa. She has been involved in collaborative research work in Eastern Africa, Ethiopia, Mozambique, and South Africa. She has over 90 refereed publications and mentored numerous university students and young researchers.
