Bio
The research has been focused on nanostructured superconductors /1-8/, nanophotonics /9/ and heavy fermions in solids /10/.
In nanostructured superconductors he discovered vortex Mott insulator-metal transition /2-4/, symmetry-induced antivortices in equilateral triangle and square /5/, multiple sign reversals of the vortex ratchet effect /7/. In superconductor/ferromagnet hybrids the domain wall superconductivity was discovered /6/. Bound vortex-antivortex pair, generated by shielding currents around pinning center, has been directly imaged by scanning Hall microscopy /8/.
Optical properties of individual and coupled photonic nanostructures and Fano resonances formed in these structures have been investigated /9/.
The anomalous properties of heavy fermion solids have been explained in terms of the formation of the giant Abrikosov-Suhl resonance at the Fermi level /10/.
