Tun-Wen Pai received the degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taipei Institute of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1985, the M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, in 1989, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Duke University, Durham, NC, in 1993. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the National Taiwan Ocean University, Keelung, Taiwan. His research interests are in algorithms and systems for multimedia, document imaging, modeling and synthesis of cartoon caricature, and bioinformatics.
