Hung-Wen Tsai

Hung-Wen Tsai was born in Taichung, Taiwan, in 1976. He received the M.D. degree in medicine from College of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University, in 2001, and the Ph.D. degree in clinical medicine from Institute of Clinical Medicine, College of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University, in 2018. From 2001 to 2005, he received pathology residency training in the Department of Pathology, National Cheng Kung University Hospital, Tainan, Taiwan. Since 2005, he is a Staff Pathologist in the department with subspecialty in liver pathology. In 2010, he was a visiting Researcher with the Department of Pathology, Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY, USA. His research interests include liver pathology, pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma and pathologic changes in hepatitis virus infection. He is currently an Associate Professor with National Cheng Kung University and Director of Department of Pathology, National Cheng Kung University Hospital. Dr. Tsai has membership in Taiwan Society of Pathology, Taiwan Society of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and Taiwan Association for the Study of the Liver.
