Todd A. Sulchek

Todd Sulchek received the Ph.D. degree in applied physics from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA. He is currently an Associate Professor of mechanical engineering with the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, conducting fundamental and applied research in the field of biophysics. His research program focuses on creating new micro and nano technologies to understand questions in cellular mechanics and molecular adhesion. He joined the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2008, and holds program faculty positions in bioengineering and biomedical. Prior to the Georgia Institute of Technology, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher and a Staff Scientist with the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Livermore, CA, USA. He was a recipient of the National Science Foundation CAREER Award, the CETL/BP Junior Faculty Teaching Excellence Award, the Lockheed Inspirational Young Faculty Award, and the 2012 Petit Institute Above and Beyond Award.
